Commercial Farm Feeding Device

Safety trough wireless
Over the years, there is no question the spotlight within the health industry has been focusing on nutrition and the food that we consume. Healthy eating has become a priority in many households; therefore industries, such as the meat production industry, have been greatly affected. People want to know that the animals that are used in meat production are healthy which means the animals are well looked after and fed properly; this is where the next case study comes in.
Enuvo assisted to design a device that is used to feed farm animals. To put it simply, this device is a food dispenser that keeps track of the feeding profile of each animal by comparing the food input to the weight of the animal. When an animal wants food it triggers the dispenser which then distributes a measured amount of feed for that particular animal depending on its weight. Farmers use this tool to optimize productivity and manage costs by controlling the animals’ diets. To optimal productivity, the animals must meet a specific weight in a short amount of time.
The equipment is around 120 volts, which is enough to kill an animal particularly if it comes into contact with water which is difficult to avoid in an environment where livestock are cultivated. Therefore, Enuvo built the equipment to be wireless except for a single wire that plugs into an outlet and serves as the main power source. The wireless element drastically simplifies installation, overall maintenance, reduces costs and is safer for the animals and farmers. As always, proper testing is done to ensure the safety of the animals and those individuals operating and maintaining the equipment.
The case study was successful, and the client was quite pleased with the end product.
