Human Implant

High quality software implementation

There is a medical implant for the human body that is used to enable individuals suffering paralysis in one leg the ability to use that leg again.  The implant is designed for placement within the paralyzed limb.  When the individual engages in the motion of walking, the implant stimulates the paralyzed leg to mimic the motion of the active leg, thus enabling the individual to use both legs when walking.  Enuvo designed the software that monitors and manages the device; the software was designed in such a way so as not to cause injury to the individual using the implant.  In setting the constraints for the device, Enuvo ensured that the design and function of the software will not cause the device to harm the user in any way.

However, designs built for use within the medical field, particularly a design carrying the amount of significance this project does, must also be extremely reliable for the user; this means little to no malfunctions.  To create this type of product numerous requirements must be met:  ISO (International Organization for Standardization) requirements are adhered to and meticulous quality control and quality assurance tests are run to ensure the device runs as it was intended to.
