Military Certifications for Industrial Equipment

There are also the projects in which products from one field are modified to meet the criteria of another field. In this case, Enuvo took an industrial device and altered the design so that it could be utilized within a military setting.
The product was a multipurpose ultrasound machine used for measuring information. As the ultrasound machine is used on submarines, the key to success for this case study lied within the product testing; in order for the product to be usable in this setting modifications had to be made for the device to pass higher certification levels and testing done for the conditions in which the machine is used. Environmental testing for elements such as temperature, humidity, mold, fungi and moisture were run. While environmental testing can sometimes be destructive, non-destructive testing was performed for the ultrasound machine.
On the certification side of things, there was an extensive list of substances that are not permitted to be present within the device in order to meet the stringent certification requirements of military equipment. Enuvo successfully tailored the ultrasound device to endure the elements of its environment, as well as to meet the high certification prerequisites.
This device currently operates on military vehicles abroad.
